On 11th July, Rajkumar Rao’s film Maalik was released in theatres. Directed by Pulkit and produced by Kumar Taurani and Jay Shewakramani, this action thriller film had created a lot of excitement among the audience since the trailer was released.

For the first time, Manushi Chhillar was seen acting opposite Rajkumar Rao. Apart from that, popular Bengali film actor Prosenjit Chatterjee was also seen playing the role of a police officer in this film.

Interestingly, along with the lead pair Rajkumar Rao and Manushi Chhillar, the film also features talented actors like Prosenjit Chatterjee, Huma Qureshi, Anshuman Pushkar, Swanand Kirkire, and Saurabh Shukla. This powerful cast has further increased the film’s appeal.
The story revolves around the city of Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh.
The film is based on the journey of a common man becoming a gangster – built on the tug-of-war between the lust for power, revenge, and justice.

Although the film didn’t get a massive response on the first day, Maalik gradually started gaining popularity.
The first-day collection was ₹3.75 crores. On the second day, the earnings increased by 40% to reach ₹5.25 crores.According to data provided by Saknilk, the third-day collection was ₹3.6 crores.
With this, the total box office collection of Maalik stands at ₹12.6 crores.
According to film experts, this earning is considered good for an action-based storyline.

Talking about the box office collection of the movie, the film had an opening of Rs 3.75 crores. Then at the end of the week, its total collection was around 11 crores. Not only on weekends but also on mid-week days, the movie has maintained its strong position.
The film’s earnings saw a slight increase on Tuesday, with a total collection of around ₹2.1 crore for the day. The film’s six-day initial collection has also come out. According to Sacnilk’s early trends, the film could earn around Rs 94 lakh. This number is expected to reach one crore. According to this calculation, the total collection of the film now stands at 19.04 crores.
